Look for this label on your product information sheets to know that you are getting the best possible Chrome finish: Chrome is comprised of metal layers of Nickel & Chromium electrostatically applied to metal in a controlled process.

We start our finish process by buying and using only platable quality tubing.

Chromium creates the bright mirror-like shine. So why the Nickel? Nickel is what gives a chrome finish its hardness. Hardness is very important in terms of the scratch and corrosion resistance capability of the final finish. Simply stated; the better the Nickel base is--the harder the surface will be and the longer the finish will last. Our standard is 4-6 mills of Nickel thickness. The average Nickel coating in our industry is 2-4 mils. Our Nickel coating is 25%-50% thicker and substantially harder than the competition.

We use the right amount of Nickel so our finish does not scratch or rust.

Professional Chrome Finish

Professional Grade Chrome is electrostatically applied after all surfaces are cleaned prepared in a multi-stage wash system finalized with an ion-phosphate rinse. The layers of Nickel Chrome are applied in a highly controlled (environmentally safe) atmosphere according to the highest standards for scratch and corrosion resistance.

This professionally applied finish differs from every other finish in one very important aspect--we demand the best. The electrostatic application process creates a molecular bond between the metal components and the layers of Nickel and Chrome much in the same way our paint does--effectively fusing all the layers together. This fused Nickel-Chrome finish is the brightest and most corrosion resistant available.

We do it right and we put it in writing. Other manufacturers are taking out quality to reduce cost--effectively shortening the life-span and reducing the durability of their products as they focus on reducing their cost of production. Then they come in and "sell" you the savings. Cost is not what you pay at the time of your purchase--the cost comes when you find out what you purchased wont meet your expectations in the classroom for years to come. Professional Grade Chrome from Capitol Seating Company is the "The Best in the Business".
